|D2. Kunming/Stone Forest (B/L)|
After breakfast at hotel，drive to visit Yuan Tong Temple and the Green Lake. After that transfer (about 1.5hrs/78km) and visit Stone Forest–a notable set of limestone formations. The tall Rocks seem to emanate from the ground in the manner of stalagmites, with many looking like petrified trees thereby creating the illusion of a forest made of stone.
|D3. Stone Forest/Kunming (B/L)|
In the morning, transfer 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the Stone Forest to the Nuohei Village. Nearly everything in this village is built with stone, including stone laid roads, stone walls, stone laid square, and a large quantity of stone houses. … Stone houses here mostly have two floors. Moreover, what may surprise you is that you can’t see any cement mortar among stone gaps. After that, you will travel through Mizhi Holy Forest. The entrance to Mizhi Holy Forest, always called Mizhilin, is a stone gate, which looks like a face. People can only enter through its mouth. Inside the forest, all trees stand straight with thick leaves which blot out the sky and cover the sun. Visit Yi Minority Folk Custom Museum. Inside the museum, visitors can see a series of displays showing daily uses, agricultural tools and cultural relics left by predecessors, that could help visitors learn more about villagers’ daily lives in past times. Drive back to Kunming City after finishing your tour (120KM, 2H).

In the western suburbs of Kunming lies Western Hills. They are also called 'Sleeping Buddha Hills' and 'Sleeping Beauty Hills'. Dragon Gate is a big exquisite stone carved edifice. The stone paths, stone rooms, stone grottos, and stone Buddhist figures are all carved with excellent craftsmanship on a large natural rock. Like Sanqing Pavilion, Dragon Gate was also built on cliff. You can stand on the edge of the cliff holding the railing, looking downward to experience the steepness of the hill and enjoy the spectacle of Dianchi Lake. In the afternoon, visit the Minority village of Yunnan, in order to exhibit the customs and conventions of the 26 nationalities in Yunnan, this scenic spot builds 26 natural villages, giving prominence to the architectures of various nationalities and give the tourists a better chance to visit all the nationalities in one park.
|D5. Kunming/Dali by Bullet Train (2 hours) (B/L) D8726 (1535/1730)|
In the morning, visit Kunming Golden Temple, is the largest copper temple in China. It got its name because of the golden palace here made of brass and when it is in the sun, it will shine brightly. After lunch, take a bullet train to Dali and transfer to your hotel.

In the morning, take a cable car to Cangshan Mountain, also known as Dian Cang Mountain or Holy Golden Eagle Mountain, is situated northwest to the Dali Ancient City. Consisting of 19 peaks, all of which have an altitude over 3,500 meters above the sea level, the stretching summits are like a sleeping dragon lying from north to south. Have a 3 hours hiking on Yudai Road of Cangshan Mountain. In the afternoon, visit the three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, which are cream-colored, delicate-looking pagodas. They are situated in the shape of a triangle. The tallest and oldest of the three was built during the reign of a king of the Nanzhao Kingdom about 1,150 years ago. Now the pagodas are the symbol of Dali.

Drive to visit Xizhou Morning Market and the Old Town (you could take a cart to visit for 40 Minutes). After that, drive to visit Tie-dye cloth industry in Zhoucheng. Tie-dyeing is a technology of printing flower patterns on cloth. As the name suggests, the process is divided into "tie" and "dye". Tie refers to making the cloth into certain shapes by pinching, creasing and flanging it according to the flower patterns. Then enjoy a local Three Course tea dancing and singing show. Take a small boat to visit Erhai Lake, after one hour on the boat, visit the Golden Shuttle Island (Jinsuo Dao) is shaped like a weaving shuttle. It is a great place to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Erhai Lake and experience the Bai culture. There are 200 Bai households living on the island. You can walk through Bai minority houses and taste local food. You can find many caverns on the island, like Jade Dragon Palace Option tour: Drive to visit Xizhou Morning Market and the Old Town (you could take a cart to visit for 40 Minutes). In the afternoon, have a half-day cycling tour from Xizhou Old Town to Haishe Park or to the Huanhu Road of Erhai Lake.
|D8. Dali/Lijiang by Bullet Train for 1 Hour (B/L) D8791（20:31/21:52）|
Drive 45 minutes to visit Shimenguan Scenic Spot in Yangbi County locates the west of Cangshan Mountain. Take the glass bridge which has 1,550 meters long. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the valley and mountain. After half-day tour in Shimenguan, drive back to Dali Train Station and transfer to Lijiang.

Take a cable car (three options: the Spruce Meadow, the Yak Meadow or the Glacier Park) to visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Then take a small battery car to visit the Blue Moon Valley. After that, drive back to Lijiang City, on the way visit the Baisha Village of Naxi Minority, it’s one of the oldest villages in Lijiang City. “Baisha” means “white sand” and it got its name from the natural white sand in the area. To be found today are many ancient constructions that were originally built during the Ming Dynasty. The well-known Baisha Frescoes can be seen here in Dabaoji Palace. Then visit the Old Town of Lijiang and the Black Dragon Pond which is a famous pond in the scenic Jade Spring Park located at the foot of Elephant Hill, a short walk north of the Old Town of Lijiang. It was built in 1737 during the Qing Dynasty and offers a spectacular view on the region's tallest mountain, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, over its white marble bridge.

Hiking tour to Wenhai Lake (Clients could ride a horse during the hiking): it is rarely visited. The small Naxi villages locates in this area are reminiscent of a China from many years ago and is a perfect way of seeing a more rural China. The unique climate and soil in the area nourished a variety of vegetative covers and plant species, including old-growth forests, shrubs and meadows. There are also unique wild flowers that bloom all four seasons, including over twenty species of rhododendrons. Wenhai is also home to a variety of economically viable mushrooms and precious medicinal herbs.
